To answer Nettiemac - yes, Steinman wrote "Total Eclipse of the Heart", which caused Bonnie Tyler to have yet another throat operation. Should have been called "Total Eclipse of the Throat".
I may be wrong, but I think Steinman also wrote a song called "Read 'Em and Weep", which was a hit for (dare I say it?) Barry Manilow.
I knew that Steinman would do anything for love, but I hope he didn't do that!
